Three of the most iconic and popular rock bands in America - and the world - announced on September 10th that they would be leading a joint tour beginning in June 2020 and wrapping up in August of the same year. The “Hella Mega Tour,” as Green Day, Weezer, and Fall Out Boy have titled it, will be hitting cities like New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Houston, Miami, and Chicago. You can view a complete list of tour dates and snag tickets here beginning September 20th.

All three bands released separate Youtube videos to announce the tour, and each video reflected the unique personalities each band encompasses. Green Day’s video included snippets of songs from their yet-to-be-released album Father of All (which will be available on all platforms February 7th, 2020), and scenes from Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy with the faces of the band’s lead singer, Billie Joe Armstrong, and his tourmates Pete Wentz and Rivers Cuomo, appearing in a photo in the background.

Fall Out Boy and Weezer’s videos took similarly quirky approaches, with wrestler Ric Flair being featured in Fall Out Boy’s and a beanie-wearing alien stealing the attention in Weezer’s. Like Green Day, Weezer also has a new album coming out titled Van Weezer, and it’s tentatively scheduled for release on May 15th, 2020. However, the 1st single off the album, “The End of the Game,” has already been released. Weezer was also kept busy earlier this year releasing a collection of covers in an album titled The Teal Album. Not to be left out, Fall Out Boy recently released a new song called “Dear Future Self (Hands Up),” which featured rapper Wyclef Jean. Fall Out Boy’s next compilation record will be out this upcoming November under the name Greatest Hits: Believers Never Die - Volume Two.
